ENNA’s action team, responsible for making sure everything keeps ticking along
Based in Brussels, the ENNA Secretariat is responsible for promoting the positions of the members of the Network and providing high-quality bespoke services to the membership of the Network. It ensures the day-to-day operations by implementing ENNA’s overall strategy and its current projects and activities (in accordance with the statutes and internal rules set by the governing structures of the Network).
Denisa Ionescu is the Seccretary General of ENNA, the European Network of National Civil Society Associations. With over 13 years experience in the third sector, Denisa’s expertise ranges from capacity building for CSOs to policy and research roles. Before joining ENNA in October 2014, she helped strengthening the sector in Romania, working with organizations such as Civil Society Development Foundation and Open Society Foundation. Denisa founded the youth A.R.T. Fusion organization in Romania, which enriched her skills and know-how with grassroots experiences and perspectives.
ANA MARIA SUCIU
POLICY AND ADVOCACY OFFICER
With a background in political science and over 8 years of policy research and advocacy work in civil society organizations, Ana is passionate about bringing data and evidence to back-up policy change and advocacy actions, so that those affected by policies have a say in the decision making process.
Joined ENNA team in 2015.
Since 2011, the secretariat is managed by a Secretary General who acts as the Board’s executive officer in accordance with the statutes of the Network. The Secretary General is appointed by the Board.
