CIVICUS World Alliance for Citizen Participation is launching its CIVICUS Monitor: Tracing Civic Space platform on October 24th, 2016.
CIVICUS Monitor is a tool designed to counteract the lack of reliable information on civic space on a global level. It is focused on an assessment of three main areas that provide the necessary space for civil society development: freedom of peaceful assembly, freedom of association, and freedom of expression and triangulates multiple and different data sources on civic space, giving priority to civil society groups and local actors.
The platform is regularly up-dated by a large partnership of organisations, and at European level information are provided thought the support of relevant CSOs networks. ENNA is part of them and is responsible for providing up-to date information from countries where its membership works.
